You’re 3 Questions Away From A Perfect Rehearsal Dinner
How to plan a wedding … oh and don’t forget the rehearsal dinner…
Some people may forget the rehearsal dinner because they think that it is just rehearsal and some food…
Maybe…
Are you having a formal dinner or are you just ordering pizza for everyone? The more formal your dinner is going to be the more you need to think about these 3 nagging questions.
- Do you know who’s coming?
You don’t want to get caught in a strange situation. When you know who is coming to the rehearsal dinner you will be able to plan for size and amount of food. If you are winging it and don’t have a precise list of people who are coming you may be in for a surprise. Don’t waste your money…
- Do you know their personalities?
Know all family personalities cause the more formal the event the more strategic people placement will be needed. You don’t want aunt Velma knocking out Uncle Jimmy at the table. Consider placement of people if you think there could be problems.
- Have you prepared toasts or small speeches?
Have you thought about what you are going to say to thank everyone for coming? You don’t have to memorize anything but I would have a good outline of what you want to say. There is nothing like hearing “uhms” and “ahs” so that you can think about what you are going to say. Be prepared ahead of time.So those are a few of the things I would consider when you are planning your rehearsal dinner. In some ways it plays a major part in how you plan a wedding properly.
Good luck.
